Harrison von Bargen is a Writer, Director, Producer, Editor, Graphic Designer, and Marketing Specialist currently based out of Los Angeles and Cincinnati.

My name is Harrison von Bargen and I just recently graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Marketing, as well as two minors in both Screenwriting and Video Production. I have completed coursework regarding fundamental business and marketing principals, as well as more film-related subjects, such as camera operation, video editing/production, screenwriting techniques, and film analysis/history. I am also a self-taught Graphic Designer and am proficient with a variety of Software related to this field. I have done a myriad of freelance work in this area, with experience creating logos, motion graphics, marketing campaign concepts, apparel designs, album artwork, and much more.

During my time as a student at OSU, I served in multiple video production roles related to creating content for release on a variety of social media platforms. In addition, I’ve written multiple spec scripts/produced many of my own short films to be entered in various competitions (held by both the University and outside sources). I was also fortunate enough to be asked to aid my screenwriting mentor, Dr. Angus Fletcher, in developing a feature film pitch he was contracted to create for Mattel Films and even helped pitch it to their Vice President; I am the first Ohio State student to ever do this prior to graduating.

Through this opportunity, I was able to secure an internship with Josephson Entertainment, a Film/TV Development company in LA, which provided valuable experience and insider knowledge about how the industry operates behind-the-scenes. It also gave me lots of exposure to the various parts of the creative development process, including: providing script coverage, doing research for prospective projects/clients, and even learning selling techniques while sitting in on pitch meetings with major studios and executives.

I am self-motivated, hardworking, organized, and quick-thinking, with aspirations to one-day work full-time in the Entertainment Industry, specifically in film and television. I like to stay up to date with the current events of the industry and consider myself to be very knowledgeable on this subject; I also believe that, being from the Midwest originally (one of the most representative demographics in entertainment analytics), I can provide a valuable perspective on what viewers are looking for in the content they consume every day.

I am extremely passionate about pursuing my dream of working in Entertainment , and believe the work featured on this website exemplifies the quality and dedication I aim to bring to whatever role I take on.
